In the first race of the WorldSSP category at the 2026 World Superbike Championship (WSBK) Hungary round, held on May 2, Chinese motorcycle manufacturer ZXMOTO celebrated a standout victory as French rider Valentin Debise stormed to first place—overtaking two Yamaha machines on the final lap in a decisive move.

During qualifying, ZXMOTO Factory Evan Bros Racing fielded Valentin Debise (No. 53) and Federico Caricasulo (No. 64). Debise secured 6th on the grid, while Caricasulo qualified 9th.
In Race 1, Debise quickly found his rhythm, working his way up to 4th in the early stages. The race was marked by multiple crashes, and after a mistake from a leading rider, Debise capitalized to move into 3rd place.
The final lap delivered the highlight of the race. With precision and confidence, Debise executed a stunning double overtake to seize the lead and cross the line in P1.
Speaking after the race, Debise downplayed the drama:
“I wouldn’t call it especially dramatic. I knew this track would be challenging, but the team kept reminding me to stay patient. This morning I wasn’t fully happy with the bike, but the team made quick and effective adjustments.”
He added:
“The riders ahead were pushing very hard, so I focused on maintaining my pace. I believed their tires would drop off—and they did. My tire performance stayed strong, which allowed me to increase my speed and take control. I’m very happy to win and want to thank my team, ZXMOTO Factory Evan Bros Racing, and ZXMOTO for giving us such a competitive machine—the ZXMOTO 820RR.”

With a commanding win in Race 1, momentum is firmly on Debise’s side. Race 2 takes place on May 3—now all eyes are on whether he can repeat the performance. We look forward to another exciting showdown and wish ZXMOTO Factory Evan Bros Racing the very best in the next race.
